"One of the most successful illustrated books of the entire 18th century. With its gallant scenes in eighteenth century salon settings and its delightful and constantly renewed culs-de-lampe, this Boccaccio is one of the most representative books of the bibliophilic taste under Louis XV" according to Cohen.
