The second car produced by automotive pioneer André Citroën, the Type C 5HP was one of the first European cars to be mass-produced, with almost 90,000 units assembled. If the 5HP sold so well, it was partly due to the commercial genius of André Citroën. One of the first cars that could be bought on credit, it was marketed mainly to a female public, which was unusual at the time.

The model we propose is a 2-seater Torpedo in yellow, an emblematic color of the model, which is the reason the car was nicknamed “lemon”. This torpedo is proving to be an interesting restoration project. Most of the great collectors own or have owned a 5 HP, and there is even a rally exclusively reserved for the model... This is a fabulous chance to acquire a Type C and to occupy your long evenings of the coming winter!
