Autograph project for the defense of Ajaccio. This manuscript is related to the project of an expedition to Corsica, to protect the island from an English attack. [On March 24, 1794, the Representative of the People
Saliceti wrote to Paris that he had instructed General Buonaparte to go to Nice in order to prepare everything for the success of the expedition to Corsica]. "Batterie du Parc. The Battery of the Park will be composed of 3 facces one looking at the passage between Aspreto and the citadel, the second the entry of the port, the 3rd the interior of the port. It will have 9 cannons mounted on ribs and a house that will serve as a guardhouse. "The battery can be built to beat the ships that would be embanked against the citadel and to defend the landing in the village of St Francesco. It would have the advantage of forcing the ships to stay off the coast. It will be made up of 4 cannons placed on the coastline".
