COCTEAU Jean (1889-1963)
L.A.S. "Jean", Toulon July 1938, to the decorator Coula ROPPA| 1 page in-4.
Letter from his holidays in Toulon with Jean Marais. "I have just given Loï his 300 strokes of the stick every morning and he bears them wonderfully. He feeds us and forces Jeannot to eat. In exchange Jeannot teaches him to swim. But, alas, he persists in swimming with his head under the waves. My whole life would not be enough. I wish I could do you a favour. - And it's always you who does everyone a favour. I love you and I kiss you"...
