Manuscript on pink paper in margins, with seven lines of text per page, in Arabic, in cursive calligraphy, in black ink. Double frontispiece in unwân illuminated in gold and polychrome with text inscribed in a circle on a gilded background with a series of flowers and margins with floral decoration incorporating fleurons. The manuscript is richly decorated with numerous polychrome and gilt illuminations. The work is a compilation of religious texts including several suras from the Qur'an with illuminated titles, prayers, and several texts concerning the Prophet
Muhammad and his life.
Bound in brown morocco with a double frame and four gold-painted corner motifs.
Binding dimensions: 10 x 7.1 cm
Condition: some tears and folds, handwritten notes at the beginning, restorations, binding very worn.
