Album composed by Ernest GAUGIRAN (1818-1906), mayor of Lamotte-Beuvron (Loir-et-Cher), general secretary of the Central Committee of Sologne, author of a series of Views of Sologne (prints) and of several Notes on his country. In it are collected watercolour, pencil, pen and wash drawings, representing animals, fruits, boats, peasants, landscapes, soldiers, fantasy characters, etc., some signed Ernest Gaugiran or Paul
Gaugiran, others "Bon de W.", "Rosine", "C. Doussault", etc.| some political drawings ("La Sologne assassinée", "Le
Triomphe de Dupain")| a series of caricatures for a "Galerie des St Simoniens"| travel souvenirs| poems ("à
Baptistin", "Sous les platanes", "L'heureux temps n'est plus!", epistle of Auguste Creuzé de Lessert to Miss Emma Gaugiran, etc.)| L.A.S. of Etienne Arago, the Countess of Coëtlogen, Louise Colet,
Gilbert Duprez, Eugène Labiche (3, voisin de Gaugiran), a card a.s. of Gioacchino Rossini... Plus a few press clippings and various documents, including the program for a bull run at
