Very rare suite of 18 lithographed plates by Delpech after
Horace Vernet, coloured, all signed in the plate.
Beautiful lithographed frontispiece with the title inscribed on a stone carried by a mason and 17 plates by Horace Vernet coloured in watercolour, without number, several without captions.
PROVENANCE Library of Carl Franz Georg Richard van Schwerdt (1882-1939) (ex-libris vignette pasted on the back cover).
