First edition of this atlas of Germany and Bohemia dedicated to Empress Maria Theresa of Austria.
This amazing set contains a beautiful title-frontispiece with an engraved bust portrait of the empress, and maps that have been cut (without missing), assembled and laminated on 13 burlap sheets.
These maps have been assembled as is, probably for convenience.

PROVENANCE Private collection| most certainly the viscount of Rochambeau (Donatien-Marie-Joseph de Vimeure, (1755-1813) (ex-libris vignette with the family arms: azure, with a chevron of gold, accompanied by three knurls of the same, pasted on the jute of the first map).
