Typographical woodcut on the title page with printing in red and black. Lyon edition decorated with woodcut headbands and footnotes as well.
This volume contains the main work of this Latin author and philosopher of African origin, notably Metamorphoses ("Metamorphoseos") or The Golden Ass ("Asino aureo"). Novel relating the adventures of young Lucius, transformed into a donkey, before he can return to human form by eating a bunch of roses.
