This plate was offered on the occasion of the passage of Bonaparte First Consul and his wife Joséphine de Beauharnais during their visit to the city of Liege on August 3, 1803 We think that this present has for goal to reach Josephine in particular, this last one being amateur of ornithology having a considerable influence on Bonaparte.
