"I send you by this post the suitte des élemens de filosofie with some other pieces you will take care to make Mr. de La Reiniere fermier general des postes in Paris hold everything you will have done, volume to volume so that one makes a good errata and that one indicates the necessary boxes. You will have the new history of Charles XII, etc., etc., etc., etc. You will be careful, I beg you, to put aside one hundred copies of the Elements of Filosophy, and as many copies of Charles XII in addition to the 400 that I am buying from you in cash"....
