LA PÉROUSE Jean-François de Galaup de (1741-1788) navigateur

MANUSCRIPT autograph, [November 1780]| 2 pages in-fol.
Extremely rare fragment of the logbook of La Pérouse returning from Newport (United States) to Brest, from 7 to 14 November 1780.

He is accompanied by La Surveillante and L'Hermione. The sailors capture an English ship loaded with wine from Porto that they will sell in Plymouth, a small port south of Boston. From November 7 to 14, the Amazon is on the way to the northeast of Nova Scotland. The Perugia will arrive in Brest on December 6, 1780.]
