Small tripod perfume burner in ivory carved in high relief with a crowd of characters in pavilions among trees and rocks, the feet resting on pearls, and forming zoomorphic heads, each leaning on a five clawed leg, the neck adorned with a frieze of ruyi, the shoulder enhanced with two handles decorated with foliage scrolls and shou characters.
The carved ivory lid forms a two-storey pagoda, the terrace presenting six Buddhist deities, the first floor animated with scenes of characters in pavilions and gardens.
Apocryphal mark Qianlong on the base.
