Exceptional finely chiselled bronze sculpture formerly silvered representing the allegory of Architecture bearing the signature, inscribed on the base of the quadrangular terminal, of Giambologna: “GIO. BOLONGE B.”
It rests on its original blackened wooden base with console uprights richly decorated with embossed and chiselled silver appliqué with foliage motifs | its reverse side signed, located, dedicated and dated 1596.
