Original edition in a very nice binding signed Leroux whose red edges evoke the bloody memory of Gilles de Raiz. The book, illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author by Pablo Picasso and 2 full-page drawings by Sima, is enriched with an autograph signed French letter from the author addressed to Lady Rothermere.
