Pierre de Massot, writer and close to the
Dada movement, met Erik Satie thanks to
Francis Picabia. He perpetuated the memory of
Satie in several books, notably this one, sublimated by Edgard Claes. "I met Erik Satie in 1921. I learned of his death from the Comoedia newspaper on the Lac du
Bourget in 1925. How brief this time seems! And yet during this period, we saw each other almost every day.
For him increased my affection at each interview, and my admiration".
PROVENANCE J.P. Guillaume (Slight shock to the case).
