Sowhide stamped on bevelled wooden ais, multiple fillets and cold-stamped castors with small portrait medallions, central medallion set with castors, stamp with unidentified arms and cold-stamped fleurons, spine with ribs and cold-stamped title coin (period binding).
Dedication epistle. Life of Seneca. Ornate vignettes and lettering.
Note that the title page was cut out and visibly restored in the
18th century with the manuscript title brought back and the date 1529.
