R. judge keeps in the month of Paris, with the Latin text, the epistle and the two gospels, Greek and Latin, figures, ornaments, inscriptions, in various languages, [...] all invented and engraved with a chisel by the author.

(preface), 124 pp. num. mounted on large paper, in French, Latin, and Greek. Full Jansenist brown speckled calf (originally two gilt fillets on the hunts), spine ribbed with a gilt crown of thorns in the centre, marbled paper endpapers (contemporary binding).
Miniature collection entirely engraved with burin by the author, pasted in an in-8 bound work by this almost unknown author whose only work attributed to him is this book. The Heir used the Latin liturgical text (Ordinary of the Mass with Easter proper) as the basis of his imagery, paraphrasing the French text on the opposite pages.
Note in addition to the numerous engravings intexte 2 burin engravings by Alexandre-Joseph
L'Héritier at the head of the volume depicting Christ in glory and Louis XV praying before a crucifix.
The approval of Abbot Chrétien, ecclesiastical censor, of April 3, 1770 and Privilege of the King in April 1770 are included at the end of the volume
