AUTHORIZED MANUSCRIPT, Spontaneously fermented tobacco infusion| 3 pages in-8.
Report of an experiment.
"At an ordinary temperature in the laboratory, A.C. and nitrogen were released, then some hyd. Production was stopped at a cold temperature and resumed at a warm temperature. On July 14, I put the machine in the sun and the temperature must have risen to about 30°.
A lot of carbon dioxide was released and very little flammable gas (2-5%), which ignited like the hyd. I thus obtained several tubes of a gas which was not ignited by the red match, but by the flaming all. with an excessively strong detonation. I am prepared to believe that it was a mixture of hydrogen and nitrous oxide".... Next came the results of experiments on beet or carrot juice, with or without yeast...
