He asks the Minister for "an interview on the aviation affair of which you were the promoter and which has since been so unfortunately abandoned by General Billot, without any serious motive since he himself recognized the importance of the results obtained, following the report of General Mensier, president of the Commission. It was only on the pretext that I had declared that I could not continue at my own expense that everything was lost. Fortunately, my work is still intact, and even extremely advanced. ...] Instead of seeing a future weapon of war of the most fearsome kind go off at random, perhaps turning against us, I would prefer to see it entirely in the service of my country. Il demande au ministre «un entretien au sujet de l'affaire de l'aviation dont vous avez été le promoteur et qui depuis a été si malheureusement abandonné par Monsieur le Général Billot, sans aucun motif sérieux puisque lui-même a reconnu l'importance des résultats obtenus, à la suite du rapport de Monsieur le Général Mensier, président de la Commission. C'est seulement sous prétexte que j'avais déclaré ne pouvoir continuer à mes frais que tout fut perdu. Mes travaux sont encore heureusement intacts, et même extrêmement avancés. [...] au lieu de voir une future arme de guerre des plus redoutables, s'en aller au hasard, peut être se tourner contre nous, je préfèrerais la voir entièrement au service de mon pays.
