ELUARD Paul (1895-1952)

AUTHORIZED MANUSCRIPT of three poems, [1929]| 1 page in-4.
Working manuscript of three poems from L'Amour, la Poésie (1929).
These are pieces XV, XVII and XIX of the "Second Nature" part, here untitled and unnumbered, of 7, 6 and 7 verses.
"Weak dancer who in the corners
advances with a narrow chest"... "Dignity symmetrical life well divided
between the old age of the streets"...
The last piece: "The prisoners feel like laughing".... is elaborated, with many erasures, in the margin of three successive first drafts, crossed out but still readable: "The prisoners feel like laughing
They have lost the keys of curiosity"...
