"Yes, a series of setbacks (I would never have believed that Television could devour so many hours) have prevented me from seeing you as I would have wished. Anyway, I'm leaving tomorrow morning and we won't be able to talk about your play at leisure. I regret it less, thinking that I had little to add to what I had said to you. My main criticism is, as you will remember, of the difference between the two tones of the play. But I am sure that you will manage to reduce these difficulties and since you are thinking of staging Les Disparus in November, I only wish you, very cordially, the best of success"...
