words to GOURGAUD to obtain the requested weapons. He said he was very eager to do it
but that he could not do it without a slight formality that he
was very comfortable to have you fill out"... [1840]. "If Mr. Renouard is here, please do me
the pleasure to ask him his opinion on the translation of my atlas into
Spanish in Paris"...
An l.a.s. is attached. "King of Rome" of a fake Napoleon II, to the count of
Las Cases: "At last covering my homeland I am surrounded by mysteries and
by dissimulations instead of speaking to me frankly. So I come to you
as a friend of my august father, to ask you for information and
clarifications"...
