stone bas-relief These pieces made at the end of the 19th century on the initiative of Louis Delaporte, re-discoverer of Angkor, have recently been brought out of oblivion thanks to the exhibition "Birth of a Myth, Louis Delaporte and Cambodia" at the
Guimet Museum.
Presented in several universal exhibitions, exhibited at the Indochinese Museum of Trocadero until 1936, these casts of statues, bas-reliefs and decorations from Cambodian temples were made between 1870 and the end of the 1920s. They were then moved from one storage site to another and damaged before being found and restored.
