L.A.S. with DRAWING, Ermitage de Senart May 5, 1889, to an "admired Master"| 3 and a half pages in-8 (mitre track).
He proposes a meeting on Thursday in Paris where he will go "for the final arrangements of our exhibition [...]. I have not yet been able to see the painting exhibition, much to my regret. But I'm being held here just about the length of the tether and don't spread myself too far. However, you must think that the desire to see your work is one more attraction to the Salon"... He signs: "Your unworthy but beloved pupil Nadar." He adds: "Did you, by chance, take your studies of Arcachon to Paris, and among others the one I saw you so marvelously take away one morning? I try to point this out to you, but you should not forget that I was only a caricaturist at the most"| and he draws with a pencil on half the page the site: a few huts surrounded by trees: "I tried it after your departure and trying to be inspired by your memory. But what a need I would have to revise your draft to better measure what is missing from my essay!"...
