I did not claim or deny anything, and my letter was all private, but I am delighted that it was published, as it earned me your charming letter and your beautiful book. Your brilliant successes are among my lonely joys| they must be great for you to have added glory to your name. I'm sending you my artwork. The edition is not yet complete, but I will make sure that when it comes, the supplement will be given to you (...). If I were in Paris, I would bring these few volumes to you myself (...).
