DALI (Salvador)-SACHER-MASOCH (Léopold, Von.)
The furry Venus. Geneva, Grafik Europa Anstalt, 1970. In-folio in leaves under filled cover, folder and case of blue moire illustrated with a gilded composition of the artist.
Edition decorated with 20 original brass instruments by Salvador Dali. One of the 139 copies on white Arches wove paper (n°284), signed and dated "69" by the artist and stamped by the publisher with Dali's stamp. Attaches a bookmark covered with the same fabric as the shirt and
case.
Identifying himself with the theme, Dali will very often represent himself by including his self-portraits on the bodies of men, women or hermaphrodites composing this series. Works treated by the Artist with a great freedom that gave them power and movement in his
stroke.
Very nice copy.
