Paris, Galliot du Pré, 1558. In-12, full calf speckled, spine ribbed and gilt spine, red title coin, gilt roulette on cups, red edges (contemporary binding).
Jean de Roye, jurist, French administrator and secretary to the Duke of Bourbon, is the presumed author of a chronicle of his time, anonymous in the two preserved manuscripts and in the first printed editions, traditionally known as the Chronique Scandaleuse.
