Litigators. Comedy. Paris, Chez Gabriel Quinet or Claude Barbin, 1669. In-12, black Jansenist morocco, spine ribbed, double fillet on cups, gold edges, burgundy morocco lining enhanced with wide lace and triple gold fillet (Godillot binding).
Original edition of great rarity. Les plaideurs, is the only comedy, in three acts and in Alexandrian verse, written by Jean Racine. It will be his greatest success until the
19th century.
