Henry Moore (1898–1986)

The portfolio, comprising 9 colour lithographs on vellum paper, each signed in pencil, six of which are numbered 28/50 and three numbered 28/40, with full margins, as loose sheets as published, is accompanied by a leather-bound book, numbered 28 and signed in pencil by Henry Moore, published/printed by Orde Levinson/Curwen Studio and Roy Crossett, London, the whole kept in the original beige linen portfolio.

The book contains quotations taken from a conversation with Henry Moore as well as photographs taken on that occasion.

The ‘Henry Moore 80th Anniversary Portfolio’ was published by Orde Levinson to mark the artist’s 80th birthday on 30 July 1978. The print run is limited to forty numbered copies, plus ten signed copies.

The lithographs are mounted and, together with the book, presented in a canvas-bound portfolio.
