Aguttes Lille

The art and passion of transmission

Founded in Clermont-Ferrand in 1974 by Claude Aguttes, the Aguttes auction house is now made up of a team of 60 passionate individuals — its greatest asset. Over the years, it has risen to become a major player in the art market. Remaining independent and family-run, with three children actively involved, the company is dedicated to the value of transmission.

With an auction room located in western Paris and representative offices in regional France, Brussels, and Geneva, Aguttes stands out for its personalized service and responsiveness. Its 17 departments, led by in-house experts and specialists, enable the appraisal and sale of major collections, paintings, jewelry, automobiles, and exceptional works of art.

With its strong promotional reach and culture of performance, the house strives for excellence and regularly achieves world record results. Fully aware of the trust placed in it by its sellers, Aguttes remains above all committed to serving them.

OUR MISSION IN LILLE

In the Hauts-de-France region, our representative office in Lille fully embodies Aguttes’ mission of transmission and support. The office is headed by Pauline Boddaert, a Lille native with degrees in art history, literature, and political science, and fifteen years of experience in the art market. She offers current and prospective sellers in Lille a personalized service, enabling them to benefit from the Parisian auction market and reach an international clientele — all while maintaining a local point of contact and a close, accessible service.

Pauline Boddaert is available to assist you with:

• Free and confidential valuations, conducted with our specialists either at our offices, during our appraisal days, or at your home

• Inventories for inheritance, division, insurance, or sale purposes

• Legal and tax advice tailored to each specific asset situation

• Guidance throughout every stage of the process: from contract signing to transport, all the way to final payment

• The coordination of the Club Transmission, which hosts discussions featuring figures from the local art market

“I have great appreciation for the heritage, cultural, and historical richness of the Hauts-de-France region. Lille and its surroundings maintain a deep connection with art — particularly modern and contemporary art, as well as 20th-century decorative arts and modernist architecture, which can be admired in exceptional venues such as La Piscine in Roubaix and the Villa Cavrois. One can also see the influence of Art Deco in the streets of Le Touquet or Saint-Quentin.

The region is also home to many paintings, drawings, and works of art from earlier periods — witnesses to the history of Flanders and, for some, to its ties with the Burgundian and later Spanish Netherlands. I am fully aware of the role auction houses play in preserving this heritage, and I am deeply committed to promoting the artists and artisans who contributed to it.”
