Louis Gérard: Founder of Maison M. Gérard
Louis Gérard, a renowned gemologist, founded the Maison M. Gérard after gaining experience as a master jeweler at Van Cleef & Arpels. In 1968, with the support of the Comtesse de Ribes, he established his own enterprise, Maison M. Gérard. His luxurious creations embody the vintage spirit. M. Gérard's jewelry is characterized by an exceptional mastery of traditional craftsmanship and timeless quality. The jeweler is also distinguished by the excellence of the precious stones used to adorn his pieces, such as those in the "Médicis" collection, which includes the "Volutes" necklace, the "Goutte" corsage clip, and the "Grappes" pair of ear clips. These pieces are crafted in yellow gold and set with brilliant diamonds and round rubies highlighted by baguette diamonds. These jewels were highly successful upon their release.
The closure of the house in 1991 has contributed to making its jewelry rare and highly sought after today.
