Street Art

Here is the English translation of your text:

Julien Durix is a young artist from Vichy, born in 1991. He spent two years at the School of Visual Communication (ECV) in Aix-en-Provence and then in Bordeaux. However, his desire to paint outweighed his desire to study, and he decided to stop his studies to fully dedicate himself to his art and street art. Julien Durix initially started with comic strips before moving on to painting. He gained real recognition in 2012, the year when his first work was auctioned at our auction house. Art runs in Julien Durix’s family, but he remains largely self-taught, despite two years of study—his works are purely the result of his overflowing imagination.

Julien Durix's works are dynamic and very colorful. The artist plays energetically with colors to satisfy his endless imagination. He uses acrylic paint for his works, without resorting to collages or prints. His works feature childhood heroes in various extravagant situations. Julien Durix explains that his final pieces often don’t resemble the initial vision he had at the start of their creation; if the result is convincing, he keeps it, otherwise, he starts over. Today, this artist is considered an heir to Pop Art and an influential figure in street art.

Aguttes' STREET ART department was founded in 2011 to meet the growing demand in the art market.
