CONDITIONS OF SALE
 
Purchased lots will become available only after full payment has been made. The sale will be conducted in Euros. In addition to the hammer price, the buyer agrees to pay a buyer’s premium along with any applicable value added tax.
The buyer’s premium is 22,91 % + VAT amounting to ?27,51 % (all taxes included) for all bids.

~   This lot contains animal materials. Import restrictions are to be expected and must be considered.
            Appendices I and II of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) have been transcribed in Annexes A and B in the European Union (EU). The objects and specimens in this auction are of the species listed in Annexes I/A, II/A and II/B, as indicated in both the catalog and at the pre-auction exhibition, and predate 1947.
            They can be sold with references to the regulation’s derogatory case Council Regulation (EC) 338/97 of 09 December 1996.
            These lots can move freely within the European Union subject to proof of legal provenance, which is provided by the auction’s purchase slip and catalogue.
            Species not listed in these Appendices and not protected by French Environment Law can move freely within the EU.
            It is important to note that the possession of the documents required by CITES for species listed in Annex I/ A, II/ A, or II/ B legally enables their trade and transport within the EU. It does not, however, authorize their introduction to countries outside this territory.
            In the latter instance, an export permit must be requested and obtained from the geographically relevant CITES Department. Be informed that the EU can refuse to grant export permission and cannot in any circumstance guarantee the issue of import-export permits in cases involving non-EU countries.
            It is the personal responsibility of the buyer to oversee all aspects concerning the import-export process.
            The auction purchase slip and catalog must be kept.
 
GUARANTEES
The SAS Claude Aguttes is bound by the indications stated in the catalogue, modified only by announcements made at the time of the sale noted in the legal records thereof.
Attributions were made according to scientific and artistic knowledge at the time of the auction.
An exhibition prior to the sale permits buyers to establish the conditions of the works offered for sale and no claims will be
accepted after the hammer has fallen. Some difference may appear between the original work and its illustration, there will be no claims in such matter. The dimensions are given only as an indication.
The condition of the works is not specified in the catalogue, buyers are required to study them personally. No requests will be accepted concerning restorations once the hammer has fallen.
Any condition report requested from SAS Claude Aguttes and the expert before the sale is provided as an indication only.
