Sale information

The second of our two November sales (November 25 and 26), the department's final sale of 2024 will feature a selection of rare bottles from the cellars of many collectors and connoisseurs.

The past year has been rich in sales and lessons for the secondary wine market, which is doing well as demand for fine wines and rare spirits continues to be strong.

In this catalog, Bordeaux's premier grands crus classés are in the spotlight, and for once we'll start by mentioning the Sauternes region and the Château d'Yquem collection on offer here (lots 424 to 454): one bottle per vintage from 1981 to 2013 (with the exception of 1992 and 2012, which were not produced due to poor weather conditions in those years). All of Bordeaux's premier grands crus are represented, as evidenced by the Duclot "Bordeaux Collection" case, which includes some of the great 2015 vintages (lot 303).

Mouton Rothschild 2000 (lot 283), Margaux 2000 (lots 277 and 278), Latour and Lafite Rothschild 2009 (lots 261 and 263), Petrus 2010 (lots 266 and 267), Haut-Brion 2003 ... I leave it to you to browse through this catalog to see for yourself.

As you've come to expect, the Burgundy and Rhône regions are once again well represented.

The former includes Leflaive, Coche-Dury, Dauvissat and Raveneau, while the reds include Armand Rousseau, Dujac, Prieuré-Roch and Domaine des Perdrix.

The second, the Rhone Valley, will be worthily represented by wines from Emmanuel Reynaud (13 lots of Rayas, 25 lots of Domaine et Château des Tours, 9 lots of Pignan and Pialade) as well as from Chave, Allemand, Jamet, Bonneau Clape or Saint-Préfert.

In keeping with the festive spirit of the end-of-year season, a number of grands crus from Champagne were included, including Taittinger Comtes de Champagne, Agrapart, Jacquesson, Vouette & Sorbée, Dom Pérignon and Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle.

Finally, as there were no spirits presented in the last sale, and as many of you pointed this out to us, we are making up for it in this catalog with some twenty rare whiskies from Japan (Karuizawa and Nikka) and Scotland, as many rums from the French West Indies and a few Chartreuses, cognacs and armagnacs. Don't throw any more away! All tastes will be satisfied.

Happy bidding!
