Georges Mathieu, in addition to revisiting calligraphy, often pays tribute to the history of France in his works. He was chosen by the Paris currency to design the 10 FF coin minted from 1974 to 1987. This currency was minted in 100 million copies. As part of Stephan Bern's heritage conservation mission, this mythical piece has been reissued with a value of €200. She is now in business. Snowdrop is one of the preparatory works for the motif of this piece. Georges Mathieu celebrates French history and culture by symbolically depicting the white map of France and the Eiffel Tower with its puddled iron frame. It thus reflects France as a nation that has supported invention and progress since the industrial revolution. In 1964, Georges Mathieu published a letter addressed to young people in which he described painting as follows: "It is the most direct expression of dissatisfaction and a willingness. Painting is a will, it's no longer a doing. The canvas is whipped, pushed, sliced; the colour splashes, fuses, pierces, twirls, rises, crushes. The craftsmanship, the finish, the licking of Greek ideals, all this is dead. Tension, density, the unknown, mystery reign supreme and win on all fronts. F
