Crazy performances, remarkable construction: a myth brought to life within reach. - 4-wheel drive, turbo engine and a team of great drivers including Michèle Mouton, Mikkola, Blomqvist, then Walter Röhrl: in just two seasons, the new Audi creation became World Rally Champion in 1982... - The first rally version of the Audi Quattro is entered in Gr. 4, requiring at least 500 examples of the production version. Such was its success, however, that over 14,000 examples were eventually produced. In 1983, the Gr. 4 was replaced by the Gr. B. - The car illustrating these pages is an evocation of an Audi Gr. 4, built some twenty years ago in Germany. The current owner acquired it in 2012, and has been using it ever since, giving it great mechanical and cosmetic care. - The rusty body has recently been replaced by a healthier one (serial number cut out and re-welded), and the engine rebuilt at great expense. The car also features a 5-speed gearbox with dog clutches. With over 400 bhp and its KKK tubo, performance is simply insane. - The car has its FFSA passport (obtained in 2020), and has been successfully entered on several occasions in the famous Neige & Glace. Its file includes almost €40,000 of recent invoices...
