Erratum : Contrary to what is mentioned in the catalogue, the vehicle is sold without contrôle technique and with a copy of his old Belgian registration title.
The Porsche 964 Carrera 2, launched in 1989, modernized the 911 while remaining faithful to the air-cooled flat-6 engine. Its
3.6L engine delivered 250 bhp for a top speed of 162 mph and 0-62 mph in 5.7 seconds. Available as a coupe, convertible, and targa, with manual or Tiptronic transmission, it introduced ABS and power steering to the 911. Produced until 1993, it remains a sought-after benchmark for purists.
Our example was delivered new in Italy in this combination of Indian Red exterior and black leather interior with sports seats,
equipped with a manual transmission, sunroof, and rare limitedslip differential. Shortly thereafter, the car was purchased by a Belgian enthusiast.
Today, the car has less than 150,000 km on the odometer and is in good overall condition. Its bodywork has aged well, thanks to the care taken by its previous owners, but also to the factory change at the time and the switch to Werk V, and its new paint booth. Its interior is also very clean for the mileage.
Our test drive showed us that it is also in very good working order. A stainless steel exhaust system was fitted a few years ago, bringing out even more of the legendary sound of the 3.6-liter flat-six engine. Please also note that “competition” brake discs and pads have been fitted, as well as adjustable shock absorbers.
Offered at a reasonable estimate, our ready-to-drive model will delight enthusiasts of the Stuttgart brand looking for the most versatile 911!
