Lancia 1600 HF Lusso – 1972 - Lot 100
Lancia 1600 HF Lusso – 1972 French historic registration title In 1963, Lancia presents the Fulvia sedan, a blend of tradition and modernity. Replacing the Appia, it featured angular lines, an all-new V4 engine with closed angle and overhead camshaft, front-wheel drive, double-wishbone independent front suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. As early as 1965, a 2+2 coupé was launched; in its lightened and HF-prepared version, it enabled the brand to shine in the World Rally Championship. In 1969, the arrival of the 1600 HF, with its 5-speed gearbox, enabled the brand to set its sights even higher. The factory made extensive use of the 1600 HF between 1969 and 1974, securing numerous rally victories, crowned by a Manufacturers’ World Rally Championship title in 1972, and again in 1974 (shared with the Stratos and Beta). A landmark model in Lancia’s technical and sporting history, the Fulvia 1600 HF left a lasting imprint, before fading away in 1973 after 3,690 examples built plus 1,258 Rallye models. Our example, one of only 3 690 Lusso built, combines performance and Italian refinement, and is equally at home on the road or in competition. This car, accompanied by its Historic Regularity Vehicle Pass (LPVRH), will be perfect for taking the start of regularity events. It was recently entered in the Tour de Corse Historique in this category. Fulvia 1600 HF Lusso cars in good condition are rare, and even rarer at such an attractive price. It is being sold with a copy of its libretto, which also allows you to follow its life in Italy until 2015.
