*Citroën C6 F Camionnette – 1931 - Lot 89
*Citroën C6 F Camionnette – 1931 Swiss registration title, in temporary importation At the 1928 Paris Motor Show, André Citroën scored another major coup by presenting the C6, the first 6-cylinder production car in the history of the marque aux Chevrons. A year later, he broke new ground with the brand’s first commercial vehicles, powered by this powerful, torquey 6-cylinder engine. It entered the market for small ‘fast’ trucks, with a 1,800 kg (at the time, this was expressed in terms of unladen weight), then a 2,000 kg, sometimes with twin rear wheels. A popular commercial vehicle in all sectors of commerce and industry, it was even reproduced in Citroën’s toy range. Our example was recovered in the early 1990s from a fire station in the canton of Vaud, then restored at great expense. Nothing escaped the expert hands of Mr D. and his team: chassis, bodywork, upholstery, engine, axles, wooden platform... This very interesting van, which has a payload of over 1,400 kg, is in very good condition, with its superb varnished wooden floor. Perhaps even better than when it left the factory. Perhaps this is because it has only covered 3,000 km since its restoration...
