A gilt bronze and black patinated clock showing a cotton ball carrier after a design by Jean André Reiche (1752 - 1817). The white enamelled circular dial is inscribed in a cotton ball placed on a shipment carrier carried by a young man with inlaid polychrome glass eyes resting on a base supported by flattened pastille feet. A monkey sitting on a rope on the base. Hanging on a wire. Early 19th century Height : 37 cm - Width : 28 cm Depth : 10,5 cm (Hair and chips to the enamel, small visible lacks, wear and tear, functioning not guaranteed) A similar model reproduced p. 342 in the Encyclopedia of the French Clock by P.Kjellberg.
