Openwork picnic set (sage-jubako) made of gold and silver hiramaki-e lacquer, consisting of a four-tiered jubako, a tray, two pewter sake bottles (tokuri) and their stand surmounting a storage compartment with drawers. The sage-jubako is entirely decorated with blooming passionflowers on a trellis running along the entire structure. The four sides of the jubako are decorated with passiflora, carnations, ipomoea and various flowers. The inside of the sage-jubako and the jubako are lacquered in red.
