RARE SWORD OF PAGE " WITH THE FLOWERS OF LILY ". Probably that of Charles Bonnin de la Bonninière de Beaumont 1768-1836. First First page of the Queen Marie-Antoinette. Mounting on the model of infantry officer model 1767, in gilded bronze and silver with donkey steps said to the musketeer. Fluted olive pommel. Flat jointing bow decorated with lines, quillon in the prolongation in the shape of drop. Knot of fluted body. Symmetrical top. Wooden spindle covered with a silver filigree with bishop's caps. Straight blade with triangular section by Dida, a merchant forger on rue Sainte-Catherine in Bordeaux (1767 - 1819). Engraved with a third of a semi of fleur-de-lis and a fleur-de-lis in an oval under a crown. France, Ancien Régime period. Engraved coat of arms of the Bonnin de la Bonninière de Beaumont family. Argent with a fleur-de-lis gules. Length of the blade : 81 cm Total length 98 cm (Oxidation) Without scabbard. Charles Bonnin de la Bonninière de Beaumont (1768-1836) Entered the service of the Queen as First Page in 1785. It is said that the Queen took such an affection for the young man that she observed the tutoiement towards him, a rare mark of intimacy at the court of Versailles. In 1792, during the emigration, he campaigned in the army of the Princes alongside the officers of the Queen's regiment. He was named Knight of the Royal and Military Order of Saint Louis during the first restoration and Commander of the Legion of Honor in 1821. He became Chief of Staff of the Paris square in 1817 and Superior Commander of the Paris Military School in 1826. Political career: Member of the general council of Indre et Loire, deputy to the chamber of untraceable. Other honors: Gold cross of the order of Saint John of Jerusalem.
