Gold-plated metal onion watch with a single hand fully sheathed in studded leather Hinged case, the bezel and back studded and sheathed in dark leather, in the center a rosette pattern, the bezel with arabesques. Dial chased with a single hand with enamel cartridges Roman numerals, enamel minute track in a circle, decorated with acanthus leaves and an urn in the center. Mechanical movement with key winding, chased and pierced cock, spiral balance, regulating disc, verge escapement, fusee and chain, signature on the plate "Claude Raillard à Paris". Diam. 58 mm Claude Raillard is mentioned in Le Dictionnaire des Horlogers Français, Tardy, p. 543, He was Guild Master between 1662 and 1675 and died in Paris in 1708. The text indicates that "In 1665, he supplied a clock and a watch to Mazarin for 450 livres".
