Coach watch with one hand in gilt metal with alarm function Hinged case, silver bezel and back decorated with a scene of the Holy Family with the Virgin Mary and her child, bears the words "GLORA IN EXCEL DEO", the case middle chiseled and pierced with foliage and flower motifs, the stylized pendant with ring. Silvered dial with Roman numerals for the indication of the hours, a single hand, disc for the setting of the alarm function, chiseled floral decoration with foliage and flower motifs. Mechanical movement with key winding, verge escapement, chased and pierced cock, setting pawl, single hammer striking on bell, signature on the plate "Deburge Paris". Diam. 9,3 cm The Deburge dynasty began with Jacob I, an English-born watchmaker established in Blois in 1591. His son, Jacob II, probably the watchmaker who made this model, came to Paris in 1668. His name is mentioned in Le Dictionnaire des Horlogers Français, Tardy, p. 159.
