Letter about René Char's health and remarks about the painter Bonnard. "I wish René Char to be out of the suffering he had to endure and I also wish that penicillin would leave him completely. This marvelous drug has had consequences for me that I am not yet free of [...]. As for my protest about your article on Bonnard, I will add that I have known him all my life [...] as he said himself, he is between Impressionism and Fauvism, because he did not want to be given a role he did not deserve. [...] For me he is already one of the great painters. [...] I am still here and working..." - BELLMER Hans (1902-1975). L.A.S. "Hans Bellmer", "28 IV 49 [?], Paris". 1 page on an in-4 sheet of pink paper, with small paper stars pasted on top. - RODIN Auguste (1840-1917). L.S. "Auguste Rodin", [Paris], October 9, 1910 to the secretary of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin. 1 page and a half in-8, bistre paper, headed "182 rue de l'université". Rodin is concerned about his participation in the Royal Exhibition of Fine Arts in Berlin in 1911.
