1998 FERRARI F355 Spider - Lot 38
1998 FERRARI F355 Spider Timelessly beautiful design The ultimate evolution of the post-modern berlinette lineage Service books, manuals and toolkit French registration title Chassis n° ZFFPR48B000102713 Rightly regarded as one of Ferrari’s most beautiful berlinettes, the F355 was unveiled to the press in May 1994 and was an instant success. Resolutely modern, the lines are taut and racy without forgetting the aesthetic codes that made the DNA of the Maranello production thanks to the design of Pininfarina. Technically, the 380 bhp of the five-valve-per-cylinder V8 derived from Formula 1 and the rigidity of its chassis enabled it to outperform the competition and make its predecessor forget about it, thanks to the corrected running gear that allowed it to achieve unrivalled precision. Today in the collector’s market, the F355s are rightly recognized along with the 550 Maranello as the symbolic link between a bygone era and Ferrari’s entry into the modern one. Considered as a «must have» by early collectors and the new generation of buyers, the F355 is a pillar of the brand. First registered in Italy in June 1995, this F355 Spider was exported to France in 2015 on behalf of the current owner by Monaco dealer DPM Motors. Like all Ferraris entrusted to us by its owner, this F355 Spider is in exceptional condition with a configuration of rare elegance. Still in original paint, the Le Mans blue metallic colour with a navy blue bonnet and upholstery in the same tone are superb. Careful and meticulous, its owner took care to maintain his vehicle at great expense at the DMotorSport brand specialist in Darois not far from Troyes. Firstly in 2016 for more than 10,000 € with, in particular, the replacement of the belts, the repair of the cooling system with the replacement of one of the radiators, the replacement of the cardan shaft bellows and the repair of the suspension heads. A new soft top was also fitted. More recently, in order to present the car for sale,a check-up with the change of the disc brakes and the check of the bonnet were carried out by the same workshop. Sold with its service booklet and all its manuals, its original tool kit, it ticks all the boxes to join the collection of a demanding enthusiast. With just over 59,700 kilometers on the clock, its owner will personally drop it off in Paris on the eve of the sale so that he can enjoy the pleasure of driving with the hood open and the sound of the V8 engine, enhanced tenfold by the stainless steel exhaust system.
