1980 PORSCHE 936 Junior
Gift Idea ! Eligible for Little Big Mans Motorized toy for children Designed to compete in the 1976 World Sports Car Championship (Group 6), the Porsche 936 was a sports car with many of the same elements as the Porsche 917. It was powered by a 2.1-liter turbocharged Flat 6 taken from the 1974 Carrera RSR Turbo. World champion in 1976 (5 outright victories in 7 events), it also won the 24 Hours of Le Mans under the colors of the Martini Racing Team with Gijs van Lennep and Jacky Ickx (1st victory for a turbo engine), as well as the Group 6 of the Player’s 200 (200 miles of the Grand Prix of Mosport) This charming replica of the mythical Porsche 936 Le Mans was made by a very inspired craftsman in the 80s. The bodywork is made of fiberglass and was adorned with the iconic Martini livery, famous sponsor of the Stuttgart brand. The chassis is tubular and made with great care. The engine is a 125 cc Sachs coupled to a vario gearbox that allows to reach a speed of about 40 km/h! In front of such performances, fortunately the brakes are hydraulic. All the electric harness of the car is functional, with real headlights at the front to perfect the spirit of the time. Adored by budding young drivers, it will participate twice in the Little Big Mans in 2014 and 2016 at the Le Mans Classic organized by Peter Auto. Today the children have grown up and it is time to share it with others, who also have stars in their eyes.
