1996 Peugeot 306 S16 BV6
Second hand S16 BV6 phase 1 Known history French title Chassis n° VF37CRFS231376126 First French compact car equipped with a six-speed gearbox, the 306 S16 was presented in 1996. The press was waiting for the little Peugeot which disappointed in its first slightly underpowered sporty version. This time, the engineers from Sochaux were very inspired by equipping the 306 with the fabulous XU10J4RS engine coupled to a new 6-speed gearbox. The performances were finally there and a commercial success soon followed. The model presented here is without doubt the most known 306 S16 in France, appearing in many specialized magazines. Its specific Vermeer Yellow color, its opening roof and its phase 1 configuration make it a real rarity. This car was sold new in the Paris region by the Darl’mat dealership in December 1996 to an aeronautical engineer who kept it until 2017, when the current owner bought it after having simply seen the car in a gas station. When he bought it, some work was done to be able to drive it serenely: replacement of the clutch, the timing belts and accessories as well as the connecting rods. Our test drive will reveal a car in great shape and ready to swallow miles of small roads. Today the odometer shows 176 000 original km and all documents are present, such as booklets and invoices. The technical control is less than 6 months old and is favorable.
