AUTHORIZED POEM signed "Victor H."; on one page in-4 in brown ink (framed). Famous stanza of the poem Napoleon II, published in Les Chants du crépuscule (1836) and written in August 1832 after the death of the Aiglon. "Both are dead. - Lord, your right hand is terrible. You began with the invincible master, By the triumphant man. Then you finally completed the ossuary. Ten years were enough for you to spin the shroud Of father and child" With a l.a.s. by Alex MADIS offering to Georges VAN PARYS these verses which had "been offered to him by my great friend Sacha Guitry" (April 3, 1964)
